The Myth of the Beginning of the World

In the beginning, 7 deities descended upon Veldren, and decided to give life upon the barren land. Aerneas, the strongest of the deities, was the one who decided to rule over them. She then started off by creating light, to guide the inhabitants of the world. The second deity, Euribia, summoned a massive amount of water that would eventually fill the world. The third deity, Gaia, called upon land to appear over the waters that Euribia brought. They then started to grow plants and magnificent trees from the ground. Gaia then made the inhabitants of the world and made their appearances to be the same as their fellow deities: Illunae, who were shaped from the deity Celes - a race who sport pointy ears. Astevs, shaped from Gaia themself - a race that will be known for having bestial features. Dowsies, who got their appearance from the deity Mors - with a stature smallest from the races. Flugels, who got their appearance from Leven, who sport magnificent wings. Sakrid, shaped from the deity Apollyon - with magnificent horns on the top of their heads. Okeanods, shaped from Euribia - with characteristics like fins that help them survive in the water. And lastly, Humans, shaped from Aerneas and are more average looking compared to the other races - showing no special characteristics to describe them.

Gaia then proceeded to create other living beings that would dwell on land. Before reaching Veldren and its empty land, the Deities stumbled upon other worlds before reaching the vast land of nothingness that they’re creating right now. One such world is Earth, and that is where Gaia modeled the animals that would be added on Veldren. They made mammals, fishes, and reptiles to start roaming the world.

The twin Deities, Leven and Apollyon, would now create the concept of life and death. Leven, weaving new lives into the world, while Apollyon would end those who reached their time. Then the next Deity, Mors would create chaos by bringing upon monsters on the land to see if the inhabitants would be able to survive. The last Deity, Celes, decided to do her part on the following day, the other Deities permitted her.

After the events, it was then decided by the others to vote on which Deities get to gain more power and control when Aerneas is awake, which would become called "day". The time where other Deities would rule when Aerneas is awake is called "night". As Aerneas is the strongest Deity, the others wanted to be able to rule during the day as well to get a share of her power.

The rulers for each respective state were then decided through a contest, and the ones who get to rule during the day are Gaia, Leven and Celes. The remaining ones - Mors, Euribia and Apollyon, would rule overnight.

The majority of the deities decided not to enlighten the people with magic, because while they are strong enough to create Veldren, they are not omnipotent and can be overthrown by the inhabitants if they get stronger, and as they came from another world, they just used up all their powers to moving into Veldren and creating life in it. The others also crave power and prefer to be ruling over them.

However, the 7th deity, Celes, pitied the inhabitants of Veldren. She watched them as they continued to struggle upon the chaos that Mors released. While the 6 deities are resting during night, Celes stole their powers and blessed the inhabitants with the knowledge of using magic. The inhabitants, now being able to use magic, have been able to defend themselves from the monsters.

The inhabitants thanked Celes dearly, but the Deities were furious upon waking up and feeling a huge part of their magic being stolen away. All of them wanted her dead, except for two Deities - Aerneas and Apollyon. While she is angry at what Celes did, she would never let anyone hurt the one she loved dearly. Apollyon, on the other hand, didn't want unnecessary deaths as the inhabitants are unable to defend themselves from Mors's chaos.

Aerneas had tried to calm down the other Deities, but then Celes used a remaining portion of her power to attack the Deities for them to be unable to harm the inhabitants. After doing so, she ran towards the end of the world, opposite from the direction of her lover, as she is too ashamed after going against Aerneas's wishes and inflicting pain upon her.

She would then become the ruler of the night, bounding herself to the night sky to serve as light to travelers and keeping them safe. As Apollyon followed her, it was said that death lingered more during the night. Every 30 days, Celes would gain again a portion of her power, shining bright in the sky as she blesses another inhabitant of the world with magic.

Aerneas would then bound herself to the sky, looking all over for her lost love, to no avail, as they will never be able to meet again as long as night and day existed. When their paths do cross, darkness would surround Veldren as this meeting is not meant to be.
